shark fin sales are down…

We got a call from one of our crew in Indonesia. He said that one of the fin buyers is angry, and we can't go back to market for a little while because

"his money is down boss".

Effectively replacing the income of shark fishing is beginning to be noticed by the fin buyers, the higher ups profiting from the very exploitation we aim to stand between. We are effecting their income.

We knew eventually if we kept going we’d make a ripple, but in a massive trade of shark fins, we knew the impact would be small.

But now, we have begun to cost the shark fin buyers noticeable money. Slowly but surely, watch our ripple become a wave.

This occurred in mid 2024, by the time you’re reading this, chances are we have returned to the market to document shark catch & resumed operations as normal, but we know in our minds that every development we make and every time we grow, we make enemies amongst those who stand to profit from the trade of the sharks who’s fishing we are preventing.

A great hammerhead being stored in a boat, these are some of the highest valued shark fins.
